Preparing your skin for your wedding day is all about planning ahead, maintaining consistency, and understanding your skin's needs. I always say the better you take care of your skin, the better your makeup application will be!

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you glow on your big day:

6–12 months before your wedding

1. Schedule an Esthetician appointment to figure out your skin type

  • Schedule a skin consultation to assess your skin type and concerns.

  • Begin treatments like chemical peels, microneedling, or laser if needed—these require downtime and should be done well in advance.

2. Start a consistent skin care routine if you haven’t start yet!

  • Cleanser: Gentle, non-stripping.

  • Moisturizer: Hydrating, based on your skin type.

  • SPF: Daily use, minimum SPF 30.

  • Exfoliation: 1–2x per week (chemical exfoliants are preferred for a smoother look).

3–6 Months Before

3. Regular facials

  • Monthly facials can help with deep cleansing, hydration, and glow.

  • Don’t try a new facial close to the wedding—stick to what your skin knows.

1–2 Months Before

4. Hydrate inside and out

  • Drink plenty of water.

  • Incorporate hydrating products (hyaluronic acid, glycerin).

  • Consider a hydrating facial or sheet masks.

5. Avoid Harsh Products

  • No new treatments or active ingredients.

  • Skip any aggressive exfoliation or peels.

1–2 Weeks Before

6. Brow grooming & waxing

  • Wax/thread at least 5–7 days before to let any redness go down.

7. Final Facial

  • Gentle and hydrating, not exfoliating or invasive.

The Day Before

8. Prep & Calm

  • Use a gentle exfoliator or brightening mask.

  • Apply a hydrating sheet mask the night before.

  • Get a good night’s sleep.

Bonus Tip: Use blotting papers—not powder—to control shine during the day.
